Jason Schwartz, age 42, of Huron, died Friday, April 3, 2015, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 8th, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andrew Crandall and Rev. Chad Zachrison, officiating. Burial was in the Maplewood Cemetery at Iroquois.
Jason Kendall Schwartz was born January 16, 1973, to Merlin and Linda (Reiter) Schwartz at Greeley, Colorado. He graduated from Wolsey High School in 1991. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked at Premier Bankcard for the past eight years.
On May 27, 1995, Jason married Brandee Jean Eggleston. Three children were born to this union, Josee Leigh, Alyssa Jean, and Richard Kendall Schwartz.
Jason loved to help with many organizations within the Huron community. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, Huron Area Community Theater, Ringneck Pheasant Festival, and Adopt a Highway. He was a great role model for the youth at First Presbyterian Church, while being a Sunday School Music Leader and a Youth Leader. He also enjoyed participating in family activities like hunting, camping, remodeling, and singing karaoke. Everything Jason did reflected off the people around him and he left an impact on many people. We will love and miss him dearly and cherish the memories he left with us.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Richard Schwartz, and his grandparents, Erven and Evelyn (Licht) Schwartz and James William "Bill" Reiter.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Brandee; three children, Josee, Alyssa, and Richard Schwartz, all of Huron; his mother, Linda Schwartz; grandmother, Joyce (Thompson) Reiter; his sister, Nadine Schwartz Hickey and her children, Bryli and Badyn; and his brother, Matthew Schwartz, all of Huron; his father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Marilyn Eggleston; his brother-in-law, Jamie (Lori) Eggleston and children, Karly and Cory, all of Wessington; his brother-in-law, Darren (Kimberly) Eggleston and their children, Meagan, Ashley, Emily, Jackson, and Jayden of Wolsey; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
