Janet Murphy, age 67, of Huron, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Her family will have a service in the Spring of 2023.

Janet was born August 3, 1955, to Frances and Christine (Moeller) Stuber at Minot, North Dakota. Her father was a truck driver, so the family moved around some. Her mother was needing to have roots and returned to South Dakota to raise her children.

Janet had three children, Jeremy, Jolene and Halli. Her faith in God was strong. She was a loving and kind person. She enjoyed sharing with others her hand knitted items. Janet liked to plant and tend to her flower and vegetable gardens each year. Later, she enjoyed watching classic television shows, including the classic cartoons. She will be missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother; her step-father, Archie Hildebrand; her brother, Todd; and her husband, Maynard Lang.

She is survived by her sister, Linda (James) Sutherland; her son, Jeremy (Evelyn) Stuber of Wessington Springs; her daughter, Jolene Moody of Huron; her daughter, Halli (Mike) Pratt of Sioux Falls; and five grandchildren.
