Jane Rasmussen, age 60, of rural Huron, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home due to an accidental house fire.

Her memorial service was held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, February 3 at the Kuhler Funeral Home.

Her visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Jane Marie Rasmussen was born January 2, 1964, to Larry and Alice (Fahey) Rasmussen at Huron. She grew up in the Huron area and graduated from Huron High School. She then earned an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Huron University.

She worked as a nurse for various nursing homes in the Huron area. Jane also worked at Banner Engineering for many years before they closed in 2023. She also owned and operated The Razzle Dazzle Cleaning Services, where she cleaned many homes and businesses.

Jane was a loving and doting mother of three children, Stephanie, Kyle, and Joni. She cherished the time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed tinkering in her yard tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She kept herself busy crafting and doing all sorts of DIY projects. Jane loved the Peanut's cartoon and enjoyed collecting memorabilia, especially Snoopy items. She liked spending time with her horses and many dogs, especially her dogs, Molly and Jack who perished beside her. Jane loved taking Sunday afternoon motorcycle rides.

She was a member of the American Lutheran Church, Huron Area Garden Club, Huron Area Photography Club, Windriders A.B.A.T.E. and Christian Motorcycle Association.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice in 2013; and grandparents, Eugene and Florence Fahey and Hans and Ruth Rasmussen.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her father, Larry Rasmussen of Huron; her children, Stephanie and Justin Dame of Mobridge, Kyle and Chrystal Neuharth of Watertown and Joni Neuharth of St. Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren, AJ, Ella, and Logan Dame and Keaton and Buddy Neuharth; her brother, Mark Rasmussen of Rapid City; her nieces, Jenn Rasmussen of Phoenix, Arizona and Sam Allen of Rapid City; and many cousins and friends.
