Obituary

James A. McBride, age 77, of Huron, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

His funeral service was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 16th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.

James Arthur McBride was born August 8, 1943, to Arthur and Ellen McBride, at Huron. He was an active and productive member of the Huron community, of which he whole-heartedly loved. Jim was proud of his work at Flannery's, Huron Dressed Beef, Dakota Pork and Olsen Implement. He never missed a day of work in his life. Jim was always trying to improve himself each and every day.

Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and made many memories over the years on trips with his brothers and their families. He enjoyed watching car races and buying 50/50 tickets from Gene of the Huron Lions. He loved his community and family. He prided himself in helping others and was the kind of man you could always count on. He looked forward to meeting for afternoon coffee with friends at Burger King and having lunch at the Senior Center. He also enjoyed attending as many basketball games as he could for Wolsey and Huron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry McBride; and two sisters, Jeannie Horn and Shirley Mae McBride.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his two brothers, George and Evie McBride of Sioux Falls and Ben and Thetna McBride of Hermosa; his sister-in-law, Joan McBride of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
