Jacob "Jake" Douglas Traver went home to Jesus on September 15, 2022, at age 35.

His memorial service was held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 24th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. A graveside service followed in the Bonilla Cemetery.

Jake was born to Theodore Traver, Sr. and Jeanne Miller (Wayne) on September 8, 1987, in Wichita, Kansas. As a child, he had a fiery temper, even when he knew he couldn't win against his older brothers. Jake was his own person and very stubborn. If someone made a rule, it was instantly ingrained in him to not follow that rule. He had a weird sense of humor that always had everyone laughing. He loved music! He was a good-looking kid, with a people personality and generous heart of gold. Jake would give anyone the shirt off of his back, and that was often all he owned. He was always welcoming, loving and accepting. He absolutely loved his family, especially his niece and nephew!

Jake was an incredible artist, and many of the people that he loved have been blessed by his creations. Jake loved the Lord, and his faith was an important part of his life. He was a whiz at technology. When he received his bartending certificate in November 2017, it was a celebrated accomplishment, and he loved working at Hotel Phillips as a bar back.

Jake joins his grandparents, Uncle Mikel, Uncle Sandy and Uncle Henry in Heaven.

He is survived by his parents, Theodore Traver Sr. and Jeanne Miller; his siblings, Hollie Rich (Denton), John Gawthrop, Justin Gawthrop (Michele) and Theodore Traver Jr. (Shannon).

He was loved by aunts/uncles Gwynne Bonifield (David), Bill Elder (Nancy), Dinah Jefferis (Rich) and Tim Traver (Linda); as well as many extended family members and beloved friends.

Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Exodus 23:20 "See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared."
