A visitation was held from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM at the First Baptist Church.  The visitation was live-streamed through the Kuhler Funeral Home website.

Hserka "Shiny Rose" P. Htoo was born July 23, 2000. She was raised and loved by her parents Eh Mu Htoo and Chit Htun.

Shiny was enrolled in the Huron School District in the fall of 2008 as a 2nd grader at Washington Elementary. She stayed at Washington until the 5th grade, then she moved to HMS in the fall of 2011 where she was enrolled until September 2014. Shiny was on the "A" honor roll throughout her years at HMS. She played tennis and was on the school tennis team and was in the HMS orchestra from 5th through 8th grade. Shiny and her family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2015. She attended and graduated from high school at Ronald Wilson Reagan College Preparatory High School. Shiny continued her education with some college courses. While in Milwaukee, she continued doing the things she loved such as tennis, orchestra, and softball.

Most of us in Huron knew Hserka as " Shiny Rose". I fell in love with this bright, beautiful girl when I started taking her to Sunday School. I became her American "Grandma Linda". As she grew older, I was addressed as "Grams". Shiny was also a beautiful piano player and in her recent visit with me, she played a piece she had composed herself and found it fun when I got out old, old music I played as a young girl and she started to learn it. She was pure joy to me and quickly became a part of our family, attending our family holidays and celebrations. I think everyone that met Shiny immediately was drawn to her and adored her.

Her time in Huron was a happy time for her and we enjoyed riding bikes in the summer and playing tennis in the evenings, and she even liked my American cooking. She wanted a piñata at her first birthday party here and so she got that piñata. When I had her family over for Christmas, she picked pizza as the main dish. She experienced going to hockey games with me to my grandchildren's games, playing badminton in the back yard, and sledding behind the 4-wheeler out at Matt and Debbie's home. I could go on and on about the joy she brought and she will always be cherished in our hearts.

Most of all we rest in knowing she loved Jesus and is now in perfect peace. We can't wait to be reunited with her someday when we rise to meet her.

Grateful for have shared in her life are her parents, Eh Mu Htoo and Chit Htun; siblings, Christina, Salina, Adam, and Skyny; aunts, Snow Sandy, and Paw Lweh; grandmas, Debora Sandy-Dickson, and Linda Eck; and numerous family and friends.
