Gerald John Peterson, age 50, of Huron, South Dakota, died Tuesday evening, July 7, 2015, at his residence. His graveside service was at 1PM, Saturday, July 18th, in the Borgholm Cemetery at Bock, Minnesota. Family ask memorials be directed to Dale Peterson, 431 West McKinley Street, Owatonna, MN 55060.
Gerald John Peterson was born April 22, 1965, to Robert John Peterson and LaVonne Elaine (Johnson) Peterson in Illinois. Gerald attended Howell, Michigan Schools from 3rd grade on, graduating from Howell High School in 1983. Gerald also attended Eastern Michigan University studying Business and Drama.
Over Gerald's life, he worked as a restaurant and movie theater manager, as a delivery driver in Michigan and drove semi truck as an over the road driver. His last position was working as a forklift operator for Jack Links in Alpena, South Dakota.
Gerald was keenly interested in theater, travel, drama, baseball, reading science fiction and going for long walks. He also studied Myomassology. Gerald was also very active in family activities.
He is preceded in death by his mother, LaVonne Peterson.
Grateful for having shared in Gerald's life are his father, Robert Peterson of Warren, Michigan; two sisters, Terri (John) Bambakakis of Mentor, Ohio and Karla (Bassem) Toma of Shelby Township, Michigan; three brothers, Daniel (Sheng Lacquio) Peterson of Billings, Montana, Richard (Colleen Lipp) Peterson of Howell, Michigan, and Dale (Donna) Peterson of Owatonna, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
