Gay Yvonne McFarling, age 86, of Huron, SD passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services for Gay was held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 4 at the Kuhler Funeral Home in Huron. Interment followed in the Wolsey Cemetery.  Her service was live-streamed through our website. 

Visitation was held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, June 3, at the Kuhler Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Gay Yvonne Pasco was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on July 5, 1935 to Veda and Lee Pasco.  When about twenty years old she moved with her family to Omaha, Nebraska, where she met her future husband.  On April 3, 1958, she married Ted McFarling.  Then began a moving adventurous life.

First living in Omaha, she then moved to a house near Millard, Nebraska, then to Denison, Iowa, then to Wolsey, South Dakota, back to Millard, then to Chambers, Nebraska, then to Estelline, South Dakota, Then to Harold, South Dakota, then to Salem, South Dakota, then to Beatrice, Nebraska, then to Lewiston, Nebraska, then to a farm near Wolsey, South Dakota and then into Huron, South Dakota.  Two sons were born, Jon April 2, 1961 and Barry April 30, 1965.

Gay was a beautiful person.  She loved beautiful things.  She loved to paint beautiful pictures.  She loved to read adventurous Christian fiction.  She loved to care for her family.  She loved Jesus.  She will be missed.

Gay was preceded in death by her parents, Veda and Lee Pasco.

She is survived by her husband, T.W. McFarling; and her two sons, Jon McFarling and Barry McFarling, all of Huron.
