Elaine M. Saboe, age 73, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at her home. Her funeral service was held at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 2nd, at the Living Hope Alliance Church. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Elaine May Saboe was born January 5, 1946, to LeRoy and Clara Oster Saboe at Huron. She attended school in the state of Washington, where her family lived when she was a child.

After her father passed away in 1984, Elaine and her mother moved to Huron to be closer to her brother, Dwane and his family.

After moving to Huron Elaine became active with the Center for Independence and enjoyed many activities and friendships made there. Elaine attended Living Hope Alliance Church for many years with her family. Elaine particularly enjoyed going bowling, spending time at the library, going to the Humane Society, and spending time at Rocket Slide Park where she liked to pick up sticks and other treasures. When Elaine was at home, she enjoyed watching television, especially Animal Planet and older classic shows, reading, and watching the birds and squirrels that always seemed to be in the yard. Her love for animals was very apparent to all that knew her; especially her love of dogs.  Elaine had an ear for music and was able to play many instruments without reading sheet music. Elaine's sense of humor was often witnessed by those around her; and she would often have her friends and family chuckling and laughing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Dwane and his wife, Sandra Saboe of Huron; her nieces, Debbie and her husband, Mike Lehmen of Huron and Lisa and her husband, Lew Koch of Aberdeen; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Anna Koch, Jessica Lehmen, Samuel Koch, and Colton Lehmen, many cousins, and all of her friends at the Center For Independence.

Elaine went to be with her heavenly father at the age of 73 years, 10 months, 21 days.
