Dean Schiele, age 55, of Huron, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at his home. His funeral service was held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 8th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, with military honors by the Huron Veteran's Council.
Dean Brian Schiele was born November 23, 1962, to Allen and Darlene (Ziebarth) Schiele at West St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1981.
Dean joined the United States Army on November 25, 1981 and was honorably discharged on November 3, 1983.
Dean resided in Sioux Falls for most of his adult life.
In June of 2017, Dean moved to Huron. He worked for Prostrollo Motors and Premier Contracting.
Dean loved to hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed fishing with his family at Lake Byron. Dean was a NASCAR fan, particularly leaning towards driver Jeff Gordon. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his sons, grandchildren and extended family.
Dean was known well for "being there for a friend in need." He liked helping others with their outdoor projects.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Toodie Ziebarth and Louis and Veronica Schiele; and his father-in-law, Monte Bahnson.
Dean will be missed by his wife, Jodie Bahnson of Sioux Falls; three sons, Jimmy and Becki Bahnson of Blaine, Minnesota, Cody Schiele and Tori Crawfordof Huron, and Tyler Schiele of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Kobe, Jada, Bianca and Tiana; his dog, Spanky; his cat, Psycho; his parents, Allen and Darlene Schiele of Huron; his brother, Kevin Schiele of Huron; his sisters, Roxy and Todd Peskey of Minot, North Dakota and Tana and Brad Berens of Sioux Falls; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and their families.
