Dean L. Dyer, age 67, of Huron, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his home. His memorial service was held at 6:30PM Tuesday, July 10th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
Dean Lynn Dyer was born June 26, 1951, to Gerald Marion and N. Marie (Southerton) Dyer at Huron. He attended Miller area schools and graduated from Miller High School in 1970.
Throughout the years, Dean had numerous jobs, working at Pamida and Hurst's Corner as a bartender. He also had his own lawn care service.
Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also could be found singing country music during Karaoke nights at local establishments.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Marie and his grandparents.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammie and her husband, Rodger Lauritzen of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Shauna Lauritzen, Jonathon Lauritzen, Kameron Lauritzen and William Lauritzen; one sister, Jan and her husband, Ron Bertsch of Yankton; three brothers, Jim and his wife, Marilyn Dyer of Miller, Larry and his wife, Barb Dyer of Volga and Dale and his wife, Arleen Dyer of Madison; one aunt, June Reisenweber of Sioux Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
