DaShaun Woody was born March 16, 2004 to Lisa Douglas and Demetrick Woody in Huron, South Dakota. He lived in Huron briefly before moving to Greenville, South Carolina, where he spent his childhood. His formative years were spent in Alabama, where he worked with the IATSE Local 78 in Birmingham, and graduated from Montevallo High School in 2022.

He moved back to Huron in 2025 under the loving care of his grandparents, Merle and Pamela Eichstadt and made many friends at his job at the local Walmart.

DaShaun was a fan of videogames, anime, and enjoyed watching all sports but especially football.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Byrd; and his great-grandparents, Donald and Sharon Miller.

DaShaun is survived by his parents, Lisa Douglas of Louisburg, North Carolina, and Demetrick Woody of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandparents, Pamela and Merle Eichstadt of Huron, SD; his uncles Jordan Hopper of Huron, SD, Robert Bryd of Greenville, SC, and Odell (Sabrina) Woody of Spartanburg, SC; his step-family of Nate, Amber, Robert, and Rylee Eichstadt of Huron; Dan, Millie, and Mary Eichstadt of Alpena, South Dakota; Jake, Monica, Paul, Jack, and Kennedy Eichstadt of Velva, North Dakota; his girlfriend, Jeni; as well as many cousins, and Walmart friends.
