Darrell D. Bult, age 65, of Huron, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 4:00 PM, Friday, November 15th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at the Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis.

Darrell Duane Bult was born October 15, 1954, to John Earl and Dixie Lee (Hein) Bult, at Wessington Springs, South Dakota. He attended school at Wolsey and graduated from Wolsey High School in 1972.

On September 25, 1972, Darrell joined the United States Air Force. He specialized in computers and served mostly stateside, with some time spent in Germany and Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on August 16, 1978; and returned to Huron.

Darrell was a machinist by trade and worked at Telelect and Horizontal Machining and Manufacturing. He also worked at Jack Links and Fair City Foods. He had recently retired from working.

He was an avid collector of movies and western books.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Amber; one sister-in-law, Ann Bult; and one brother-in-law, Rueben Wurtz.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his three children, Chad (Christa Harter) Bult of Sioux Falls, Kara (Doug Albright) Bult of Huron and Nikki (Manolo) Obregon of Sioux Falls; four grandchildren, Anyka, Tamika, Mabricio and Amilcar; five siblings, Brenda (Russell) Saulters, Robert (Linda) Bult, Earl Bult, Sheila (Cook) Percy, Rodney (Mary Jo) Bult; and his step-father, Charles Pieschke.
