On April 15, 1954, Darlene married Lester Allen Klinkel at De Smet. They moved to Huron in 1956.

Our mother was active in the church until she could no longer perform her duties. She loved singing in the choir. She was an avid bridge player and loved to coffee with neighbors and her best friend, Darlene Cameron. Darlene also volunteered at Madison and Washington Elementary Schools in the lunchroom; she had many volunteer duties at the Huron Senior Center; she was a Boy Scout Troop Leader; and served with the Kiwanis at the State Fair for many years.

Our parents were very much in love and very proud of their four children, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her children, Renae Klinkel of Huron, Brian and Dawn Klinkel of Arizona, Scott and Rhonda Klinkel of Aberdeen and Robyn and Todd Snedeker of Woonsocket; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Chad Letvin of Plymouth, Minnesota, Leah and Mike Terres of Lakeville, Minnesota, Chad and Christina Klinkel of Aberdeen, Tanner and Nichole Snedeker of Woonsocket and Tucker and Kelli Snedeker of Woonsocket; her great-grandchildren, Lofton and Monroe of Lakeville, Minnesota, Elaina, Claire, Roslyn and Vance of Aberdeen, Stetson, Stockton and Shaydon of Woonsocket and Hudson and Holden of Woonsocket.

Thankful for her brother-in-law, Merle Klinkel of De Smet.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Lester Klinkel; her parents and parents-in-law; three brothers and their wives; her sister-in-law, Lola Klinkel; her niece, Janelle Pillar; many friends and bridge partners, especially Darlene Cameron.

Mother had a great sense of humor and will be truly missed.
