Darlene Jungemann, age 83, of Huron and formerly of Wolsey, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls.

Her funeral service was held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 26, at the Kuhler Funeral Home, Huron with burial to follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Wolsey.

Her visitation was held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday, January 26, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.

Darlene Jungemann, the daughter of Robert and Esther (Kahre) Jungemann, was born on July 10, 1940, in Wolsey, South Dakota. She attended school and graduated from Wolsey High School. Darlene also graduated from Huron College. After finishing college, Darlene worked for the ASCS office and Huron College for a time before finishing her career working in the Administration Office at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home in Huron.

Darlene was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey for many years. When Darlene moved to Huron, she began attending the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.

Darlene enjoyed putting puzzles together and spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed attending her grand-nephew's hockey games.

Grateful for having shared in Darlene's life are her nephew, Brent (Jenn) Jungemann of Sioux Falls; and grand-nephew, Zachary Jungemann of Sioux Falls as well as her sister-in-law, Sharon Jungemann of Brookings.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Duane Jungemann in 2016.
