Clifford "Cliff" P. Tschetter, age 85, of Huron, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, February 3rd, at Living Hope Alliance Church with Rev. Chad Rose and Rev. Josh Jetto, officiating. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors by the Huron Veterans Council.
Clifford "Cliff" P. Tschetter was born June 23, 1929, to Jake I. and Lydia (Kleinsasser) Tschetter at Huron. He grew up in the Huron area. On December 5, 1951, he entered the United States Army. Cliff was honorably discharged on December 2, 1953 at Fort Carson, Colorado.
On June 1, 1955, Cliff married Vi Gross at Bethel Church. They made their home in Huron. Cliff worked for the Beadle County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator.
Cliff liked fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee at McDonalds. He especially treasured his time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Vi Tschetter of Huron; two sons, Monte Tschetter of Huron and Randy (Lori) Tschetter of Lennox; one grandson, Austin Tschetter of Lennox; three sisters-in-law, Rose Wipf, Esther Tschetter, and Lila Lee Hofer, all of Huron; and special friends, Bob Jacobsen of Sioux Falls, Clinton and Diane Wipf of Huron, and Darrel and Flo Semmler, Florence Semmler and Dorothy Dennis, all of Mitchell.
