Obituary

Cleo Glanzer, age 82, died Tuesday evening, December 22, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Center in Miller. Her funeral service was held at 11 AM Monday, December 28th at the Grace Lutheran Church at Willow Lake. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery at Huron.
Cleo was born on August 4, 1933, at Vienna, South Dakota, to Charles and Wilma (Babler) Froke. She grew up in the Vienna area and attended country schools.
She married Richard Glanzer on June 24, 1959, at Carpenter, South Dakota. Following their marriage they lived and farmed in the Carpenter area. Following the death of her husband, Richard, in 1989 she became a rural mail carrier taking over his route. In 1997 she moved to Huron and in 2013 she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Miller.
Cleo was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed crocheting, doing word search puzzles and reading her bible daily. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Society for the past two and a half years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard on August 21, 1989; four brothers, Harold, Curtis, Marlo and Melford; and one sister, Betty.
Cleo is survived by her son, Richard II "Dick" and his wife, Marcie Glanzer of Carpenter; her daughter, Cleopatra and her husband, Lee Kleinsasser of Miller; four grandchildren, Ryan (Lauren) Glanzer of Austin, Texas, Jordan (Calvin) Krogman of Vermillion, Alex (Ann) Glanzer of Carpenter, and Katie (Brandon) Wienk of Sioux Falls; eight great-grandchildren; John Glanzer, Peyton, Emerson, Hudson and Colton Krogman, Hadley, Adrienne, and Auden Glanzer; one sister, Wanda Benson of Watertown.
