Clara was born May 7, 1935, in De Smet, South Dakota, the daughter of Martin and Sella (Maxvold) Larsen. Clara married Delbert Tschetter on October 29, 1954, in Huron, South Dakota.
Clara was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. She loved taking care of her children and working along-side Delbert on the farm, or if dad was working you would find her in the field raking hay, raising bottle calves or whatever needed to be done. Clara was never one to be idle, she helped to care for her sisters and her mother-in-law. Clara worked at the Huron Nursing Home as a Certified nursing assistant until she retired at age 72. She had so many fond memories of caring for the residents and from all the stories that we are told, she was very loved by the residents and her co-workers.
Clara did live in San Diego while Delbert was stationed in the Navy before returning to Huron and making their home on the farm.
