Cindy Waldner, age 61, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the Huron Regional Medical Center after a short and hard battle with cancer. Her funeral service was held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 2nd at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Alpena.
Cindy Peskey was born September 2, 1956, to Edward and Evelyn (Moeding) Peskey. She grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School.
On July 19, 1975, Cindy married Isaac Waldner at Long Beach, California, while Ike was serving in the United States Navy. To this union one daughter, Jami, was born on June 17, 1976. The family later moved to the Huron area to be closer to family.
Cindy enjoyed everything about living in the country. She liked to garden, enjoyed watching the wildlife, and talked to the deer who would come to visit her while she gardened. She was a lover of cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Peskey; and her daughter, Jami, on December 21, 2017.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Ike Waldner; one son-in-law, Chris Waldner; two grandchildren, Logan Mulder and Grace Mulder; one sister, Nila Ondricek; two brothers, Ed Peskey, Jr. and Richard Peskey, all of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
