Catherine L. Johnson, age 92, of Huron and formerly of Salem, Illinois, passed away on August 14, 2022, at Huron.

Graveside services for Catherine will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 19th at the Palestine Cemetery, Golconda, Illinois.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 PM, Friday at Crouse Funeral Home, Salem, Illinois.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Huron Regional Medical Center Hospice, 172 - 4th St SE, Huron SD 57350 .

Catherine was born on September 11, 1929, at Saline County, Illinois, the daughter of John Henry and Lessie (Henson) Johnson.

Catherine worked as a caregiver and in home healthcare.  She loved watching TV, especially the Game Show Network.  She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Catherine Johnson; one daughter in-law; Catherine Adams; and three siblings, Edna May, Nathlea, and Herbert.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Green and husband, Donald of Blanket, Texas and Brenda Christiansen of Huron, South Dakota; one son, DeWitt Adams of Odin, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
