Carolyn Jane Kleinsasser was born on July 18, 1946, to Harry and Clara Kleinsasser in Huron, SD. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and strength were a source of comfort and love for everyone around her.

Carolyn married her beloved husband, William Quiram, in Wessington Springs, SD on February 14, 1975, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they raised a family who adored her.

Carolyn's talents were many, including canning, sewing, embroidering, and crocheting. She was known for her sixth sense in the kitchen, where recipes were mere guidelines; her dumpling soup and banana bread are family favorites no one could quite replicate. She delighted in playing moon and took every opportunity to spend time with her family, including trips out to the Black Hills to see her son, Chad and to Montana to see her brother, Joel. She loved decorating her home for the holidays and delighted in receiving flowers. She spent ten years working at Wal-Mart, where she took pride in the craft department and made lifelong friends.

She is survived by her husband, William Quiram; her son, Chad (Andrew Iverson) Volkers; her grandchildren from her late daughter Brenda Petersen, William Jenson, Sarah (Nathan) Black and Sophia Hall; her daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Tyrrell and grandchildren, Travis, Tabby, Kacie, and Ajax Tyrrell; her great-grandchildren, who lit up her world, Oliver, Elliot and Spencer "Princess" Black; her siblings, Ron (Elaine) Kleinsasser, Kathy (Norm) Story, Harry (Kathy Nelson) Kleinsasser, Joel (Suzie) Kleinsasser, Todd (Marlene) Langbehn and Steven (Georgia) Langbehn; and beloved extended family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Harry Kleinsasser; her stepmother "second mom", Valeria Kleinsasser; her daughter, Brenda Petersen; and her in-laws, Emil and Genevieve Quiram.

Carolyn's love and presence will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
