Brian Lassak, age 71, of Huron died Friday, August 12, 2022, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 29, at the South Dakota Veteran's Cemetery at Sioux Falls.

Brian Lassak was born April 10, 1951, to Stanley and Ruth Lassak. He was raised in the Denver, Colorado area.

On July 22, 1969, Brian joined the United States Navy. After retiring from his Navy career in 1973, Brian spent many years traveling the world as a Merchant Marine on several different Merchant ships.

Then, Brian tended to his parents until their passings. Next, he moved to Huron, South Dakota, to drive truck for Rawstern Trucking of Wolsey, then Marone Trucking and finally NTA Ltd Trucking, both of Huron. Brian enjoyed his last few years of retirement in Huron.

Brian had many friends and was known for his larger-than-life jolly personality! Brian always greeted everyone with a great big smile and "Hey, how you doing?"!

He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother.

He leaves behind many friends.
