IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bob
Meyer
August 23, 1948 – November 21, 2023
Bob Meyer, age 75, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
His memorial service was held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29, at the First Presbyterian Church with burial in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. His service was live-streamed.
Visitation was held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with his family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Bobby Edwin Meyer was born August 23, 1948, to Edwin H. and Nellie (Newill) Meyer at Huron. He attended school in the Huron area and graduated from Huron High School.
On October 6, 1973, Bob married Ann Moeller at the First Presbyterian Church.
He lived and worked nearly all of his life on the family farm in Clyde Township until he and his wife, Ann, moved to Huron in 2019. Bob also worked for the Bales Continental Commission, Farmers Cashway, Trussbilt, Raymond Oil and Protective Coating Specialists.
Bob was one of the kindest, friendliest and peaceful men. A man of few words, until everyone else was done talking. Everywhere he went he knew someone and was always willing to visit.
Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he had served as an Elder. He also served for many years on the Clyde Township Board and the Rural Fire Board. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Bob's garden was something he enjoyed tending to for his family. Bob would do anything for his family who loved him so much! For a man of so few words, his kindness and sense of humor said it all! He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his aunts; his uncles; and several cousins.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Ann Meyer of Huron; his daughter, Janell Harvey of Huron; his son, Bradley Meyer of Huron; two granddaughters, Bailey Harvey and Kayla Harvey (Ryan Townsend); great-granddaughter, Adaline Townsend; and his sister, Marlene (Roger) Bauder of Marshalltown, Iowa; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
