Beverly Jean Kerney, age 70, of Cavour, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at the Avera Weskota Memorial Hospital. Her funeral service was held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 13th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Beverly Jean Lundberg was born October 24, 1948, to Lester and Arlette (Bloodgood) Lundberg in Huron. She graduated from Huron High School and attended one year at Huron College. She then furthered her education at Mitchell Vo-Tech, where she graduated with a business degree.

Beverly married Dennis Kerney on May 22, 1976 in Mitchell. They made their home there for 20 years. They then moved to the family farm near Cavour, and added one daughter, Kristen, to their family.

Beverly worked at Wilbrecht Electronics, Raven Industries, Midcom Incorporated, Huron Nursing Home and for the past 15 years at Banner Engineering.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and spending time outdoors working in her garden or trail riding.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Howard Hawks.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Dennis Kerney of Cavour; one daughter, Kristen Murray (Dennis Steyle, Jr.) of Huron; two grandsons, Jace and Tate Murray; one sister, Shirley Hawks of Sioux Falls; one nephew; and one niece.
