Bette Hazel Righetti, age 90, of Huron, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at her residence. A private family burial was held in the Riverside Cemetery.
Bette was born on October 1, 1924, at Timber Lake, South Dakota, to George R. and Grace (Kukuk) Bowder. She moved with her family to Huron and graduated from Huron High School. She married Roy Smith and they later divorced. On April 15, 1961, she married Warren Righetti at Reno, Nevada. They made their home in California. Bette worked as an accountant for several businesses.
Her husband died on March 8, 2013 and she moved to Huron in July of 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Evelyn Webb, Lucille Tompkins, and Marjorie Andrews; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Bowder.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Judith Bowder of Huron; a niece, Sharman Smith of Sioux Falls; two great nephews, Brandon (Beth) Neitzert of Aberdeen and Corey Neitzert of Blaine, Minnesota; and a "special cousin", Phyllis Modine of Huron.
