Audrey J. Davis, 89, of Aberdeen, and formerly of Huron and Redfield, South Dakota, passed away October 21,2023, at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Aberdeen.

Her funeral service was held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, October 26, at Mt. Calvary Church, in Huron. Her service was live-streamed.

Audrey was born February 12, 1934, to Paul and Frances (Romano) Bremer, at Chisholm, Minnesota. She graduated from high school in 1952 at Chisholm. She attended Hibbing Junior College, receiving a certificate of graduation from secretarial courses.

On June 18, 1955, Audrey married her high school sweetheart, Richard J. Davis, at Hibbing, Minnesota. The couple moved to Redfield, South Dakota in 1958, where they raised their family. They moved to Huron, South Dakota in 1974, where they were members of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.

Audrey was always active in her church. She began playing organ at age 13 and continued to serve each church she attended. She also taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, where she held many offices. She was also a member of the G.F.W.C. Fortnightly Club of Huron, where she made many of her friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; her brother, Buddy; and her sister, Carol (James) Leborious.

Audrey is survived by her children, Wendy (Chuck) Gugel of Aberdeen, Kate (John) Kelley of Spearfish and Richard (Debbie) Davis of Yankton; five grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Dekoski of Ruth, Michigan, Justin (Courtney) Deer of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Robert (Erika) Kelley of Portland, Oregon, Megan (Mike) Zilberstein of Highland Park, Illinois and Andrew (Michelle) Kelley of Clinton, Iowa; and 10 beloved grandchildren, Landon and Jacob Deksoski, Max and Zosia Deer, Camille and Duncan Kelley, Lauren and Claire Zilberstein and Owen and Dexter Kelley.
