Arthur Stock, age 79, of Huron, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at United Living Community at Brookings.

His funeral service was held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 22th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Military honors were conducted by the Huron Veterans Council. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Arthur Stock was born August 17, 1941, to Walter and Esther (Geidd) Stock, in Wagner, South Dakota. He graduated from the 6th grade and then worked on the family farm. When he turned 17 years old, Arthur enlisted into the military, with the United States Army, and was honorably discharged. He then did mission work in Sioux Falls. While in Sioux Falls, Arthur also worked at the Sioux Empire Fair.

Arthur loved horses and trucks. He was also a very talented accordion player and did play some on the harmonica.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his five children, Carol Stock of Huron, Karen Freideman of Huron, Nyla Stock of Huron, James Stock of Yankton and Jackie Stock of Huron; one sister, Betty Hardlicka of Tripp; one brother, Eugene Stock of Rapid City; eight grandchildren, Amberlee Haynes of Huron, LaRoy Pittman of Sioux Falls, Diamond Little of Sioux Falls, Deyona Little of Huron, Danielle Little of Huron, Lamonte Stock Perry of Huron, Delicia Maisonet of Huron and Jersahm Maisonet of Huron; and four great-grandchildren, Keria, Kiara, and Kiana Gaylord of Minnesota and Booker Davis of Huron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Richard, Floyd, Alvin and Junior Stock; and two sisters, Audrey Hirsch and Bernice Stock.
