Arlene Ellise Krueger, age 91, of Huron, passed away Wednesday December 11, 2024, at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Her funeral service was held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 17,  at the Living Hope Alliance Church in Huron, with burial at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Her service was live-streamed.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Arlene Ellise Hull was born December 15, 1932, to Leonard and Jeannette (Schaller) Hull in Wessington Springs, SD.  She grew up on the family farm near Alpena and attended country school.

On January 6, 1952, Arlene was united in marriage to Raymond Krueger.  They made their home in Huron where they raised their two children, Janice and Kevin.  Arlene worked for the Metz Baking Company also known as the Old Home Bakery for many years before her retirement.

Arlene took joy in attending church at Living Hope Alliance.  She enjoyed baking and was a great cook!  Her pies, cookies, caramel rolls, and cheesy potatoes were some of her family's favorites.  Arlene cherished spending time with her family and friends and her house was usually the gathering place for holidays and family get-togethers.  She also enjoyed camping, gardening and riding the rides at the fair.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her daughter, Janice (Craig) Knepper of Urbandale, IA; son, Kevin (Bonnie Goehring) Krueger of Huron, SD; three grandchildren Garret Krueger, Ryan Knepper and Tyler Knepper; five great-grandchildren Declan, Chevy, Drake, Aubrey and Lilly; her sister, Inez Lehr and many nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond; sister, Millie Cooper; and two brothers, Alvin and Lyle Hull.
