Annie K. Oswald, age 97, of Huron, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Avantara – Huron.

Her funeral service was held at 2:00 PM, Friday May 12th, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Her service was live-streamed through our website .

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Annie Kay Kleinsasser Oswald was born February 1, 1926, to David and Susie Kleinsasser at Onida, South Dakota. In 1937, Annie moved with her family to Huron.

On June 28, 1947, Annie married Robert T. Oswald at Huron. To this union two children were born, a daughter, Judy A. Oswald and a son, Danny R. Oswald.

Annie was baptized in 1951, by Elder Lindquist into the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Annie dedicated her life to her family, the farm and being a homemaker. She enjoyed the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annie always had homemade cookie in the freezer to share with them. On special occasions, she would make homemade ice cream. She enjoyed the animals on the farm, especially her dog, Charley. She also a had a love for music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Alvin, Rueben, Ervin, Willard and Jerome Kleinsasser; one sister, Verna Hein; and one son-in-law, Eugene Wipf.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband of nearly 76 years, Robert Oswald of Huron; her two children, Judy A. Wipf and Danny (Patricia) Oswald, all of Huron; six grandchildren, Michelle (Brendan) Stratton, Steven (Angelica) Oswald, Ginger (Brandon) Tucker, Travis (Heather Jungemann) Wipf, Sherry (Jeremy) Frost and Dustin Hofhenke; and her five-great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Dani and Christian Frost, Daniel Oswald and Wyatt Stratton.
