Anita L. Parsons, age 76 of Huron, SD passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Her memorial service will be held at a later date in her home town of Titusville, FL.

Anita Louise Black the daughter of Carl and Ruby Black (née Clark) was born on February 16, 1949 in Lancaster, OH. She attended school in Lancaster, OH and Lancaster, CA before moving to Titusville, FL where she graduated from High School.  Anita worked as a waitress for Porky's BBQ and the Village Inn before finishing her career as a foodservice worker for the Oak Park Elementary School in Titusville, FL.

Anita married Mark Parsons in October of 1998 in Titusville, FL. where they made their home. In 2021, Anita moved to Huron, SD

Anita was an active member of the Church of God Women's Ministry in Christmas, Fl for many years.  She was also a member of the Silver Sneakers Walking Group.  Anita enjoyed doing arts and crafts, crocheting and reading. She also loved music.  One of her favorite pastimes, however, was spending time with her family and friends.

Grateful for having shared in Anita's life are her four children: Del Spangler of Boston, MA, Tim Spangler of Mims, FL, Robert Spangler and his wife Trish Hogan Spangler of Leeds, England, and Elizabeth Spangler of Huron, SD; six grandchildren: Corey Ryan, Steven II, Kaylee, Kalena, Rose and Timothy; several great-grandchildren; brother Jeff Black and his wife Carol Black of Palm Bay, FL; sister, Carla Algera of Titusville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mark Parsons; her son, Steven Spangler; and son-in-law, David Gosselin.
