Mrs. Alfred (Jean) Neiffer of Huron, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 23rd, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Merna Jean Zwanziger was born August 9, 1931, to Mr. and Mrs. LD Zwanziger. On September 24, 1950, she married Alfred Neiffer.

Before retiring, Jean worked at Walkers Flower Shop and APC Construction. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, the Rebecca's, Circle 6 at the Presbyterian Church, the Senior Center and was secretary for the BPW.

She is survived by her husband, Al of 68 years; their children, Colleen Kenas (George) of Ontario, California, Karen Maggi (Dennis) of Somerset, Pennsylvania, David Neiffer of Huron, Susan Munion of Huron and Jennifer Cayford (CJ) of Mount Dora, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; three brothers, Murray, Myron and Monty Zwanziger; and two sisters, Merva Sage and Melva Zuckor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard (Red) and Doris Zwanziger; and two grandchildren, Steven DeLong and Jonathan Maggi.
