Yvette LaBree obituary photoYvette LaBree, age 46, of Huron, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 10th, at Riverview United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Whipkey officiating.

Yvette Marie LaBree was born August 20, 1964, to Robert Dresden and Sharon LaBree at Chelsey, Delaware.  After her father died when she was nine months old, Yvette and her family lived in Maryland, Florida, Colorado, and California.  When Yvette was 15, she graduated with highest honors from the Grossmont High School District at Grossmont, California.

Most of her adult life Yvette had lived in Huron.  She was a part time church secretary for the Riverview United Methodist Church for a while.

In 2003, Yvette graduated with highest honors from Mitchell Technical Institute with a degree in graphic design.  While attending Mitchell Tech, she was on the Dean’s List and received many awards in areas of graphic design.

Yvette loved spending time with friends and family; spending summers at the lake with her boyfriend “Artie”; and playing with her dog, Hunnybear.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her mother, Sharon LaBree of Huron; her children, Robert Leuty of Omaha, Nebraska, Toni (Nick) Butts of Huron and Casie Park of Wolsey; one brother, Richard (Stacy) McDonald of Kiefer, Oklahoma; one sister, Lennon LeGrand of Corpus Christi, Texas; two nieces; three nephews; and her boyfriend, Richard “Artie” Arteman of Huron.
