Timothy “Tim” Wren

Timothy “Tim” Wren, age 59, of Huron, died Friday, October 7, 2011, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.  His memorial service was at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Brandsrud officiating.

Timothy Wren was born December 2, 1951, to William and Marion (Brier) Wren at Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He was baptized in the Lutheran faith. At age two, Tim came down with polio and was not expected to live.  He graduated from Huron High School in 1970.

On May 22, 1993, Tim married Rita Fahy at Huron.

He was a staff supervisor at the Black Hills Workshop, which was a school for handicapped children.  Tim also worked for Harry Cowing Construction, Buhl’s Laundry, did postal contract delivery, and was a clerk at D & S Mini Mart for eight years.

Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and backpacking in the Black Hills.  He liked being close to the wilderness and the wildlife.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Rita of Huron; two children, Ruth Hiles of Huron and Ellen Uhrich of St. Paul, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Brooklynn Hiles and Mason Hiles; one brother, Michael (Sandra) Wren of New Richmond, Wisconsin; one sister, Ann (Earl) Bult of Huron; and five nephews, Edward Wren, Bill Wren, Christopher Wren, David Wren, and Kyle Bult.
