Susie Pullman

Susie A. Pullman, age 89, of Huron, died Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.  Her funeral service was at 10:00 AM Monday, November 14th at the Mt. Olivet Church with the Rev. David Erdman officiating.  Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Susie Pullman was born Susie Ann Wipf on April 10, 1922, to Sam K and Lydia (Tschetter) Wipf in Beadle County, South Dakota on a farm north of Huron. She received her elementary education in Beadle County at Fairfield No. 4 Township.  After she was out of grade school, she helped her parents on the farm. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at the Fairfield Bethel Church, and was baptized by Rev. Jake Friesen on September 24, 1937.  She became a member of Fairfield Bethel Church and later became a member of Mt. Olivet Church.  She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years and was also a member of the Ladies Aid Fellowship.

On September 14, 1955 Susie married Ed Pullman from Yale.  They lived in Yale for 35 years.  In 1980, they sold their home in Yale and moved to Huron.

She is survived by three sisters and three brothers, Lilly Kern of Olivia, Minnesota, Lorraine Kleinsasser of Wessington, Betty (Claire) McBride of Huron, Ferd and Sam Wipf of Huron and Peter (Cheryl) Wipf of Nicholasville, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, May 17, 1996; her parents; four sisters, Ruby Kleinsasser, Evelyn Maas, Anna Friesen and Katherine Wipf; two brothers, John and Clifford Wipf;  six brothers-in-law, Edwin Kleinsasser, Elroy Maas, Howard Hewitt, Lawrence Kern, George Friesen and LaVerne Kleinsasser;   four sister-in-laws, Helen Wipf, Gloria Wipf, Freda Wipf and Janice Wipf; three nieces,  Norma Nelson and Twila and Stephanie Wipf;  and two nephews,  Gerald Wipf and Jack Friesen.
