Richard Prosser

Richard Prosser, age 54, of Huron, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at his home.  A time of sharing was held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 10th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.

Richard Earl Prosser was born August 24, 1957, to Theron and Betty (Hicks) Prosser at Long Beach, California.  He attended school at Spokan, Washington.  He was employed as a dishwasher for a while, then at Navarre Lumber at Navarre, Florida.  Richard traveled for many years as an ride operator with The Mighty Thomas Carnival from Austin, Texas and then later GoldStar Amusements from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On May 2, 2011, Richard married Lucinda M. Kirscher at Huron.

Richard enjoyed spending time with his loving partner Cindy, family and friends while camping and at barbeques.  Richard and Cindy enjoyed their travels to the beach in Florida.  Richard’s hobbies were watching football and wrestling on television.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eddie Prosser and Warren Prosser; and one sister, Nancy Prosser.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Huron;  two sons, Terry (Essie) Gleason  of the Netherlands and Jamie (Lacey McDermott) Dunsworth of Huron; one daughter, Ashley Prosser; four grandchildren, Sapphire Gleason, Dilyan McDermott, Chloe McDermott, and Emmet Dunsworth all of Huron; and one brother, Jerry Prosser of Spokane, Washington.  Others who will miss Richard are three brothers-in-law, Oliver (Cathy) Kirscher of Huron, Peter (Debra) Kirscher of Portage, Wisconsin; and Willard (Gloria) Strache of Worthington, Minnesota; four sisters-in-law, Peggy (Tom) Sumpter of Adams, Wisconsin, Cheryl McGuern of Adams, Wisconsin, Christina Guy of Plover, Wisconsin, and Carolyn (Butch) Gleason of Kentucky; his loving mother-in-law, Esther May Dillow of Adams, Wisconsin; special uncle, Michael Long of Huron, special aunt, Anna (Joel Smith) Songer of Huron; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
