Naomi Wiggers

Naomi Wiggers, age 66, of Iroquois, died Friday, September 14, 2007, at the Huron Nursing Home.  Her funeral service was at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 18th at the Faith Mennonite Church, Iroquois.  Burial was  in the church cemetery.

Naomi Schmidt was born August 6, 1941, on a farm near Moundridge, Kansas to Corneilus and Alverta (Nightengale) Schmidt.  She grew up and attended country school near Newton, Kansas.  On April 8, 1960, Naomi married Verlin L. Wiggers at Hesston, Kansas.  They lived at Hesston for 10 years, moving to Osceola, South Dakota in November 1967.  She entered the Huron Nursing Home in August 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; and one niece.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Verlin of Iroquois, three daughters, Loretta and her husband John Jantz, of Moundridge, Kansas, Vivian and her husband Darrel Penner, of Hardinsburg, Indiana, and Anita and her husband Christian Stoltzfus Jr., of Leesburg, Ohio; three sons, Milton and his wife Angela, of Leesburg, Ohio, Gerald and his wife Crystal of Livingston, California and Kendal and his wife Krista of Leesburg, Ohio; and eighteen grandchildren.  She is also survived by four sisters, Lois and her husband Conrad Yost, of Iroquois, Janice and her husband Ordo Holdeman, of Versailles, Missouri, Darla and her husband Luke Martin, of Hesston, Kansas and Rosalie and her husband Daniel Koehn, of Halstead, Kansas; three brothers, Harold and his wife Vada, of Faunsdale, Alabama, Clarence and his wife Verna, of Macon, Mississippi and Arlis and his wife Betty, of Viola, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Melbert Wiggers and his wife Joyce, of Hesston, Kansas; and one sister-in-law, Luerla and her husband Dale Wenger, of Halstead, Kansas.
