Mavis Waldner

Mavis Waldner, age 74, of Redfield and formerly of Huron, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at the Golden Living Center at Redfield.  A private family service was held Saturday at the Kuhler Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Pickles officiating.  Burial was in the Altoona Cemetery at Hitchcock.

Mavis Joy Ames was born February 14, 1934, to Louie and Reva (Roosa) Ames at Tulare.  She grew up there and graduated from Tulare High School.

On May 4, 1958, Mavis married John Waldner at the Mt. Olivet Mennonite Church in Huron.  They made their home together at rural Huron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John on December 5, 1990; three sisters, Winifred Schultze, Shirley Olson and Betty Poch; and two brothers, Lloyd and Robert Ames.

Grateful for having shared her life are her brother, Wendell (Betty) Ames of Brandon; one sister-in-law, Erma Ames of Tulare; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Olson of Redfield; and many nieces and nephews.
