Marie Knudson obituary photoMarie Knudson, age 84, of Huron, joined the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.  Her funeral service was at 2:30 PM Saturday, November 21st at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel Domke and Rev. Jonathan Boehne officiating.  Burial was at the Restlawn Memory Gardens. 

Marie Fink was born March 19, 1925, to George and Lydia (Drefs) Fink at rural Armour.  She married Milbert Ziebart and farmed near Parkston for five years.  She then married Reinhardt Beyer and they farmed near Wolsey until 1978.  Marie then married Clarence Knudson in Huron where she spent her remaining years.

 Marie was a very dedicated member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and was always passionate about helping others.  She was a wonderful mother and homemaker most of her life.  Marie’s favorite pastimes included games, puzzles, cards, reading, and spending time with family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by three husbands, Milbert Ziebart, Reinhardt Beyer, Clarence Knudson; one son, Lonnie Ziebart; two brothers; and two sisters. 

She is survived by six children, Larry (Judy) Ziebart of Watertown, Marlys Lammert of Huron, Betty (Aris) Assimacopoulos of Sioux Falls, Shirley (Jack) Haan of Redfield, Tony (Lori) Beyer of Watertown, and Tom (Julia) Beyer of Maple Grove, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren, Isaiah Brokenleg, Lia and Katina Assimacopoulos, Mark and Chad Ziebart, Jakki Holm, Nicole Beyer, Stephanie, Matthew and Adam Beyer, and Jolene Navejar; five step-grandchildren, Stacey Semrad, Justin Walford, and Rob, Mat and Dan Haan; and three great-grandchildren.
