Lloyd Goodall obituary photoLloyd Goodall, age 80, of Huron, died Saturday September 15, 2007.  His funeral service was at 2 PM Thursday, September 20, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Rinearson officiating.  Burial was be in Riverside Cemetery with military rites by the Huron Veterans Council.   The family prefers that memorials be directed to the First United Methodist Church. 

Lloyd I. Goodall was born July 21, 1927, in Blunt, South Dakota, the youngest son of George E. and Hilke (Diekhoff) Goodall.  A life-long resident of South Dakota, Lloyd graduated from Huron High School in 1945 and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945-47.  He attended Dunwoody Technical Institute and worked in Huron as a tradesman and inspector over 40 years.  Lloyd retired from Farmers Home Administration in 1992.  He liked a job well done and enjoyed gardening all his life. 

Lloyd married Thelma P. Schuetzle February 17, 1952, and together they raised three children, Jerry, Cheryl and Rodney.  Lloyd and Thelma have been members of the First United Methodist Church in Huron for more than fifty years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters, Mable Dracy, Bernice Kuhns, Ruth Miles, George (Spike) Goodall, Florence Black, Ward (Swede) Goodall, Myrtle Goodall, and Elsie Jean Goodall.

Grateful for having shared his life by his wife Thelma, of Huron; three children, Jerry Goodall of  Sioux Falls, Cheryl Goodall of Sioux Falls, and Rodney and his wife Linda Goodall, of Cumming, Georgia;   two grandsons, Jared and Matthew Goodall, who also reside in Georgia; and one sister,  Bonnie (LeRoy) Sager of Mesa, Arizona.
