Leonard Melvin

Leonard Melvin, age 50, of Huron, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.  His memorial service was at 10:30 AM,  Wednesday, July 18th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Whipkey officiating. 

Leonard “Lenny” Melvin was born February 18, 1962, to Levi and Delores (Gregor) Melvin at Torrance, California.  He graduated from Lake Elsinore High School.

Lenny was a truck driver for many years.  He moved to Wolsey in 1996, and worked at Dakota Pork, LSI and most recently Dakota Provisions.

He loved watching WWE professional wrestling, NASCAR, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.   Lenny was very fond of his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his two brothers, William (Thess) Melvin of Long Beach, California and Thomas Melvin of Centralia, Washington; one sister, Katrina Cruz of Bull Head City, Arizona; three nieces, Kristin (Jeremy) Dorris of Sioux Falls, Chanel Wegner of Sioux Falls and Julie (Mike) Driskell of Wildomar, California; six nephews, Tommy Melvin, Jr. of Washington, Christopher (Sharee) Melvin of Seattle, Washington, Paul Melvin of Long Beach, California, William (Mindy) Melvin, Jr. of Tacoma, Washington, Jason Melvin of Long Beach, California and Jonathan (Amanda) Wells of Needles, California; and several great nieces and nephews.
