After their children were gone from home they joined the Methodist Church in Iroquois and Genevieve enjoyed teaching Sunday school.   In 1988 they transferred their church membership back to the Bethesda Church of Huron where Wesley was a charter member when the church was started.  In August 2009 Wesley and Genevieve moved to SunQuest Village of Huron when Genevieve’s health failed.  She started dialysis treatments and continued treatments three times a week until her death.
