Aaseth, age 94, of Chandler, Arizona and formerly of Huron, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Blue Sky Manor in Chandler.  Her service was at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.  Burial was in the Worthing Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley c/o Julie deWit , 23705 S.  Isobel Bradshaw Aaseth was born in Worthing, South Dakota, on April 22, 1916, to Charles and Hester (Anderson) Bradshaw.  Isobel graduated from Worthing High School in 1934.  Following two years at Sioux Falls College and a session at Greeley State Teachers College in Colorado she taught at schools in South Dakota, finally in Elk Point.

In 1940 she married Keith E. Aaseth at her parent’s home in Worthing.  They moved to Jamestown, North Dakota where Keith was employed by the Willett Mortuary.  The Aaseth family moved to Huron in 1946, where they established their funeral home at 431 Third St. S.W.  They relocated to their new funeral home at 1360 Dakota Avenue South in 1954.

Through the years Isobel was active in the funeral business with Keith.  She served two terms as Beadle County Coroner.  She enjoyed her life in Huron, participating in PEO Chapter F (president) and the YWCA (president, Christian Leadership Award).  Isobel and Keith were active members of the First United Methodist Church where she served in the Women’s Society.  She and Keith participated in the organization of the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Isobel will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Julie deWit of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Becky Neave of Glencoe, Illinois, and Allison Horton of Lombard, Illinois;  four grandsons, Daren (Jennifer) Frank and Justin (Wendy) Frank of Chandler, Arizona,  Paget (Samantha) Neave of Chicago, Illinois and Miles Horton of Lombard, Illinois;  three granddaughters, Emily (Tom) Ryan of Chandler, Arizona, and Kenya and Maya Horton of Lombard, Illinois;  and five great grandchildren, Mila and Kasch Frank, Finley Frank, and Clair and Colin Ryan, all of Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her husband Keith; her parents; her two sisters, Evelyn Norton and Henrietta Ralph; and her son-in-law, Stuart Neave.
