Harriet Kelly obituary photoHarriet Kelly of Huron died Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Huron Regional Medical Center.  Her funeral service was at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26th at the Living Hope Alliance Church with Rev. Richard Birr officiating. 

Harriet Weaver was born in Hecla, South Dakota, to Clarence and Coney Weaver.  She grew up in Hecla and graduated from Northern State Teacher’s College in Aberdeen.  She lived in Aberdeen for many years and taught in the Aberdeen school system.  Harriet moved to Huron in the mid-70’s.  She was active at the Huron Senior Center, serving meals and making crafts.  She also spent time making quilts, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and caring for her plants, both inside and out.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Joyce Ray.

She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Ebey (and husband Jack) of Aiea, Hawaii; her granddaughter, Colleen Line (and husband Aric); and two great-grand- children, Ryleigh and Spencer, of Reston, Virginia; niece, Gayle Glaser (and husband Don) of Wisconsin; and nephew, Bill Ray (and wife Marge) of Ohio.
