Florence Graff obituary photoFlorence Graff, age 79, of Huron, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral mass was held at 11 AM Friday, January 19th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Holzhauser officiating. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Florence Marie Roth was born March 30, 1927, at Parkston, South Dakota to Theodore and Lena (Degan) Roth. She grew up in Parkston and attended school there.

She married Leslie L. Graff on November 29, 1947, in Mitchell. They lived in Mitchell for a short time and then moved to Huron.

Florence worked in the kitchen at St. John's Hospital for many years and as an aide at the Huron Nursing Home for ten years. She was employed as a housekeeper at Community Counseling Services for seventeen years and also worked for a few years as a caregiver.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Bob) Peterson of St. George, Utah, and Gary, Richard, Michael and Janet Graff, all of Huron; four grandchildren, Valerie (Dave) Berg of Yale, Leslie Graff of Huron, Richard, Jr. (Lisa) Graff of Huron, and Kristie (Chad) Kahre of Wolsey; 13 great-grandchildren, Kayla Graff, Amanda, Noelle, Dawson and Parker Berg, Bethany, Carey, Michelle and Savannah Graff, Jaylon and Keira Graff, Jayden and Jacob Kahre; one brother, Robert Roth of Mitchell; three sisters, Maureen (Norbert) Schneider of Omaha, Nebraska, Edna (Billy) Oberembt of Dimock, and Joan (Joseph) Fergen of Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 14, 1970; two brothers, Fred and Edward Roth; and one sister, Delores Weber.
