Eleanor Coolbaugh obituary photoEleanor Coolbaugh, age 83, of Huron, died Friday, October 22, 2010, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.  Her memorial service was at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 26th at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Holmes, Rev. Phil Coolbaugh and Rev. Chet Coolbaugh officiating. 

Eleanor Klimas was born October 1, 1927, to Antoni and Anna (Grabowskus) Klimas at Keelersburg, Pennsylvania.  She received her education at Keelersburg.

On May 4, 1946, Eleanor married Oscar Coolbaugh at Mill City, Pennsylvania.  Eleanor was a supportive minister’s wife, as Oscar served in small churches from 1964 to 1995 in Missouri, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Washington, Arkansas and Michigan.

Eleanor was a seamstress while living at Pennsylvania and Michigan.  Reading and crocheting were Eleanor’s passions.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar on August 3, 2010; one grandson, Joshua Coolbaugh; five brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Chester, Charles and Richard Klimas; and five sisters, Mary Weaver, Constance MonDeau, Della Lybolt, Catherine Davis, and Ruth Cooper.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her four sons, Chet (Dianne) Coolbaugh of Huron, Dave (Melissa) Coolbaugh of Huron, James (Tina) Coolbaugh of Dalton, Pennsylvania, and Richard (Lynnette) Coolbaugh of Benton, Arkansas; one daughter, Dot Brooks of Des Moines, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Debbie (Rich) Boucher, Teresa (Scott) Millman, Deana (Rich) LaRue, Phil (Jessica) Coolbaugh, Misty (Bill) McGurgan, Mandi Ownby, Chris Coolbaugh, Rachel Coolbaugh, Eric Coolbaugh and Colton Coolbaugh; fifteen great-grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Boucher, Drew Boucher, Travis Boucher, MiKayla Schultzen, Rachel Millman, Makenna Millman, Cory LaRue, Chelsea LaRue, Eleanor LaRue, Malachi Coolbaugh, Alenah Coolbaugh, Arrianna Coolbaugh, Makenzi Ownby, Caleb Ownby and Liam McGurgan; two great great-granddaughters, Destinee Boucher and Dixie Boucher; one sister, Joann Coolbaugh of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
