Edna Cundy obituary photoEdna Faye Cundy, age 60, of Huron, died August 29, 2006.  Her funeral service was held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 1st, at the Huron Christian Church with the Rev. Al Wager officiating.  Burial was in the Ideal Cemetery.

Edna Faye Estenson was born August 10, 1946, to Edward and Dorothy Esther (McKee) Estenson at Brookings, South Dakota. She grew up in the Clear Lake area and attended school there. She moved to Mitchell as a teenager and attended junior high school there.

On April 18, 1964, she married Clifton Cundy at Mitchell, South Dakota. Two daughters were born to them, Candy and Crystal. They lived in Mitchell until 1970, when they moved to Huron. They were divorced in the early 1990s. Edna worked at Dakota Pork in Huron and also at Hutchinson Technology in Sioux Falls.

Her hobbies included crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Derek; one brother, Larry Estenson; and one sister, Maria Christiansen.

She is survived by two daughters, Candy (Bill) Weinreis, of Huron, and Crystal Howell and her friend Arturo Garcia, of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Lavin Weinreis, Kevin Swedal, Drew Weinreis, Jessalyn Weinreis, Cory Swedal, all of Huron, and Tonya Swedal of Alexandria, MN; three sisters, Kathleen LaMotte of Forest, MN, Mary Anne Estenson of Baltimore, MD, and Jeraldine Paulick of Topeka, KS; six brothers, Lee of Alamogordo, NM, Lyle of Tacoma, WA, Lowell of Rapid City, Lester of Sioux Falls, Rodney of Helena, MT, and Ronald, of Alamogordo, NM.
