Kuhler Funeral Home

A family is a legacy of love, a love that lasts forever.

Eddie Sparks

Eddie C. Sparks, age 60, of Huron, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his home.  His memorial service was at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 24th at the Kuhler Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Prien officiating.

Eddie Carl Sparks was born October 12, 1951, to Carl Ray and Anna Lee (Ward) Sparks at McAlester, Oklahoma.  He attended Central High School, Angelo State University and Rhema Bible College.

On April 3, 1971, Eddie married Elizabeth “Betty” Ray at San Angelo, Texas.

There never lived a man so kind and loving.  He loved the Lord with all his heart and it was his joy to sing of his love for Him.  He worked as a used car salesman and in finance, but his heart was always in the ministry.  He was the pastor of River of Life Church in Bronte, Texas.  He married some, buried others, prayed for many, but it was always his heart’s desire to be about his Father’s business.  Those who were blessed to hear the amazing voice God gifted him with, know that he is now in heaven singing God’s praises.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl and his sister, Teresa Moore.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Betty of Huron; three children, Jeremy (Mary) Sparks of San Angelo, Texas, Jennifer (Jim) Beam of Orient, Texas and Vanessa (Ray) Cardona of Huron; nine grandchildren, Serena, Sebastian, Tristan, Benjamin and Uriah Cardona, Corbin Beam, Miranda and Dustin Thomason and Troy Dodson; his mother, Anna Sparks of Huron; and his sister, Paula Ankeny of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
