Dwayne Christiansen obit photoDwayne A. Christiansen, age 50, of Huron, died September 18, 2009, at his residence. His cremated remains will be buried at the Maplewood Cemetery at Iroquois at a later date.

Dwayne was born on March 27, 1959, at De Smet to Martin and Laura (Brown) Christiansen.  He grew up at Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1977.  On June 5, 1992, he married Kay Gubbins at Huron.  They made their home in Huron for many years.  He worked for Prostrollo Motors in the reconditioning department for a number of years.  They then moved to Brookings and he worked for Rainbow Play Systems for a few years.  They returned to Huron in 2008, and have lived here since. 

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Kay of Huron, step-children, John Moldrem of Huron, Amy Moldrem of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jennifer Moldrem (and her fiance Douglas Bradshaw) of Huron, two step-grandchildren, D.J. Stanish and Miranda Bradshaw both of Huron; brothers and sisters, Don Christiansen of Minnesota, Judy (David) Bechard of Pierre, Jim Christiansen of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Carole (John Personis) Christiansen of Barrington, Rhode Island, and Gary Christiansen of Huron.
