Donald Crippen officiating.  Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Dorothy Marie Miller was born June 26, 1914, to Harry A. and Anna C. (Lorenson) Miller near Willow Lake.  She worked very hard as a child on the family farm, handling livestock and doing chores at a very young age, along with her brothers and sisters.  She looked forward to the annual reunions of Willow Lake High School.

She married Walter Lillie on November 16, 1934, in De Smet, South Dakota.  They lived in Huron and had four children.  Dorothy worked as a checker at Randall’s Foods for many years, and at Sandvigs.  She also worked in her husband’s paint store in Huron.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Huron.

Dorothy moved to Mitchell in 1996 following the death of her husband.  She moved back to Huron in 2005 to the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home after a broken hip forced her to give up her independent living at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; her brothers, Lloyd, Clarence, Harold and Kenneth; her sisters, Mildred Collinson and Shirley Winger; two nephews, Carsten “Rocky” Winger and Roger Miller; and her son-in-law, Don Barry of Mitchell.
