Diane Kleinsasser obit photoDiane Kleinsasser, age 60, of Huron, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.  Her funeral service was 2:00 PM, Friday, July 25th at the Hutterthal Mennonite Church with the Rev. David Erdman officiating.  Burial will be in the Hutterthal Mennonite Church Cemetery.  Her family prefers memorials to Byron Bible Camp Scholarship Fund.

Diane Hofer was born March 22, 1948, to Eli M. and Ruth (Hohm) Hofer at Huron.  She attended grade school at Lake Byron and graduated from Huron High School in 1966.  March 1967, Diane graduated from Northwestern College of Commerce.

On March 24, 1967, Diane married Larry Kleinsasser at Hutterthal Mennonite Church at Carpenter.   Together they farmed in the Broadland area.  Diane was also the activities coordinator at the Huron Nursing Home for many years.

Diane attended the Hutterthal Mennonite Church. She cherished camping trips with her family and going out to lunch with friends.  Diane enjoyed decorating, sewing, crocheting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eli M. Hofer; her grandparents; her father-in-law, Clarence Kleinsasser; and a brother-in-law, Bob Reno.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Larry Kleinsasser of Huron; her mother, Ruth Hofer of Huron; her mother-in-law, Hannah Kleinsasser of Huron; one son, Roger and Alison Kleinsasser of Huron; one daughter, Roxie and Tim Kelly of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren, Adison, Tyler and Travis Kleinsasser and Evan, Taylor and Cait Kelly; two sisters, Sandy and Larry Mack of Huron and Sharon Reno of Huron; four brothers, Robert and Priscilla Hofer of Pierre, Lonny and Linda Hofer of Rapid City, Don and Deb Hofer of Huron; and Arnie Hofer and his special friend, Marla Starr of Huron; and eighteen nieces and nephews and their spouses.
